Blue Pacific Shore Juniper
Blue Pacific Shore Juniper (Juniperus conferta 'Blue Pacific') is one of the most versatile and reliable groundcover evergreens available. Its soft, silvery blue-green needle foliage spreads in a low, dense mat that hugs the ground beautifully — suppressing weeds, controlling erosion, and providing year-round color with virtually no maintenance. Originally native to the sandy coastal regions of Japan, it's remarkably adaptable to a wide range of soils and conditions, including heat, drought, and salt spray.
Use it to carpet a sunny slope, fill in a rock garden, edge a driveway, or soften the base of taller plantings. Once established, it thrives on neglect — making it a favorite for low-maintenance landscapes that still want to look polished and intentional.
