Blue Rug Juniper (Juniperus horizontalis 'Wiltonii') is one of the flattest, most ground-hugging evergreen groundcovers available — a true carpet of silvery-blue needle foliage that spreads wide while staying just 4–6 inches tall. It's the go-to choice for covering slopes, filling rock gardens, edging driveways, or blanketing large areas with year-round color and virtually zero maintenance.

Once established, Blue Rug is exceptionally tough — tolerating heat, drought, poor soils, and cold winters with ease. In fall, the foliage takes on a subtle plum-purple tint that adds seasonal interest before returning to its signature silvery-blue in spring.
